Piapot’s Special Coffee… anyone?

31 08 2009

Don Domeng: “Pia, paki timpla mo nga ako ng kape.”

Piapot: “ok, pa.”

Don Domeng: “Tapangan mo ha, yung kaunti pa rin ang asukal.”

Piapot: “Sige po.”

(After 1 minute)

Piapot: “Pa, bakit gusto mo yung mapait na kape?”

Don Domeng:Kasi, pag ikaw ang nagtitimpla…. matamis na.”

Now tell me if that’s not a good morning? :D LOL

Piapot away from home – AGAIN!

13 07 2009

Sigh.

After a day and a half of having break time in the coziest place on the planet which is the home of Don Domeng and Mother Goose, I am leaving today for the nth time for school, and am going to stay in the dormitory far away from home where there is no nagging of care from Mother goose, no joke times from Don Domeng, no sisters to crack my corny jokes to, and no piles of dogs to stumble on and dozens of cats to play with. It’s just like a form of disabling you, like hearing for one sec, and has gone deaf right after the other.

What I only have in my room are two double-deck beds, with no roomates obviously, well unless my sister, Ched, comes to stay during her duties, a closet, a study table and piles of books that keep me company throughout the week.

Yeah. Yeah. I know. I actuallly had given myself a self diagnosis of separation anxiety when it comes to my family.

But what the heck, no matter how quiet it all seems when I’m alone in my lare room, with my nose stuck on my books and sweat crawling down by back, everything turns out to be alright when my phone starts to vibrate and its lights start to blink, with the sound of my favorite saxophone serenading my ears, I rushed towards it, and I know that I’m all back home again. :)

Until then guys! Be safe and stay safe! :D

piapot bye-bye!

piapot bye-bye!

Now, since It was my birthday, and my 18th b-day that is, there was no debut party with gowns and 18 roses or what so ever, but i had something better! I asked my mom to prepare just a simple family dinner for us and a few guest that I want to share my day with, but when i got home… Mother Goose prepared a feast!

If you were able to read PM’s Mother’s day special post, you would not argue on how delicious my mom cooks! She’s actually the best cook ever with her not-so-secret ingredient that she claims to be just a little dash of ‘L-O-V-E’.

here are some of the dishes in a closer look:

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank my parents, Mother Goose and Don Domeng for bringing me into this world with such great parents, Mami and Dadi who were not included in the photo because they came a little late, and the other three most important men not only in my life but for the whole family:

Kuya and his two great sons, Kuya Alex and Kuya Nap, who have always been there for us no matter what just like our big brothers, thank you very much! and I love you all! Umwaks!!

Now… now… Am I one lucky girl? A happy Day with Special people around. What more can I ask for? Nothing else but to give them the best in return! :-)

Hot Choco anyone?

5 09 2008

“Ano September na? grabe di ko napansin.” [It's September? gosh i did not notice.]

Yeah, with all things i’ve been up to the past few days, i have lost track of time… and month. Well, but as I woke up this morning with the sound of Christmas carols waking me up from my deep sleep. And it was really nice, a big smile on my face was painted.:-)

I always have this feeling about Christmas that i can’t explain. Even the mere signs and symbols of this season, the lanterns, Christmas cards, Christmas lights, anything that has a Christmas thing in it, make something in my heart beat as if it was the happiest thing!:-) i don’t know, maybe the child in me never fails to come out when the ber-months come.

I remember when we were still little children during Christmas eve, we are all gathered in our little living room in our old house, mama and papa would always tell stories about the big guy in red with all the gifts he has for us and that we should put our stockings out withe list of the things we want, while my papa would imitate him with his own version of the famous Ho-ho-ho Merry Christmas, and it was really a laugh.

Reminiscing those moments makes me even feel happier today, and better for now i can feel my body restore itself from my old-chubby-cute-and-less stressed self. And as i paint the precious times my mama having our little sister on her lap, papa on her side, ched and I with our apple cut hair, and PM with her skinny self, the three of us with our hot Swiss Miss choco drink and the mess it makes in our faces, what a pretty and happy scene we must have been if i could only go back and take a picture of us.

Christmas this time with the four of us a little grown up, this special time in Christmas eve never stopped, though we added a little more events to be done to celebrate, and our fare share of own stories to tell.

And to this moment, i have realized what Christmas is. It’s not the lights, the cards, the lanters, the Christmas trees, the treats, nor the gifts little children get from their ninongs and ninangs, but it’s what we share with other people, the love, the happiness, the spirit and that special feeling that paints a huge smile in our faces while thinking of Christmas even in the hot summer days, or within the outpour of rain.

And to this instant, how happier it makes me to know what great gift i have been receiving every Christmas, and how i wish it would never fade, wrapped in the fanciest, most precious and priceless thing called family.:-)
